I am Sylvain THOMAS, married, father of 3 children, 2 of whom are young. I am the manager of TOM Express. Tom Express has existed for 10 years in Saint-Martin. The company specializes in the delivery of dry products to individuals. IRMA unfortunately destroyed our warehouse and we were also victims of looting. And, to top it off, on a personal level, I lost my home.

I am Sylvain THOMAS, married, father of 3 children, 2 of whom are young. I am the manager of TOM Express. Tom Express has existed for 10 years in Saint-Martin. The company specializes in the delivery of dry products to individuals.
Our activity was going well and I also had the ambition to open a branch in the Dutch part of Saint-Martin.
IRMA unfortunately destroyed our warehouse and we were also victims of looting.
And, to top it off, on a personal level, I lost my home.
I love Saint-Martin, and I want to relaunch my business.
In these difficult times, I am in great demand to make deliveries.
But, I again need to be equipped to meet all of its demands. In addition, many people (old people, disabled people, ...) cannot move around.
Our activity has even more meaning in human terms because, as delivery men, we are also an attentive ear, a moral support for these people in distress.
Thanks to you, I will be able to buy a delivery vehicle, buy my stock and also store the merchandise that I will receive in order to deliver our customers.
How the funds will be used?

The funds will be used to buy a delivery vehicle, buy my inventory and also store the merchandise that I will receive in order to deliver to our customers. I will also have to undertake repair work around the warehouse including security work.
Challenges

We will need to find suppliers who understand the situation and able to deliver to us as soon as possible.

Project Risks

We must reassure our suppliers and customers and tell them that we are operational again. We have had a regular clientele for 10 years. And word of mouth has always worked well for TOM Express. The customers are satisfied.
About the project owner
I am Sylvain THOMAS, married, father of 3 children, 2 of whom are young.
After studying human resources and project management, I worked for seven years as a reintegration assistance advisor.
During a trip to Saint-Martin, I fell in love with the island. I changed my professional orientation by working for a dried fruit wholesaler.
It was while getting to know the island that I realized that a delivery service would be useful for many people. Thus, TOM EXPRESS was born to the happiness of many customers.
It is a 10-year adventure that I wish to continue.
Help me to relaunch my activity, to relaunch TOM EXPRESS.
